Privacy Policy

1.Data we collect

• Account data: email address, display name, account type (private or dealer), company name and trade license number for dealers, country and region.
• Listings: vehicle details, photos, price, location (country and region only, never your exact address) and swap preferences.
• Messages: the content of the conversations you have with other Users through MotorTrade.
• Purchases: the plan or option bought, its status and renewal date. Card details are handled by Apple, Google or our payment provider and never reach our servers.
• Technical data: sign-in session data, device and browser type, and listing view counts, used to run and secure the Service.

2.Why we use it

• to create and secure your account and sign you in with a one-time code (performance of our contract with you);
• to publish your listings and let other Users contact you (contract);
• to process plans and paid options, and apply your listing limits (contract);
• to prevent fraud, investigate reports and enforce our Terms (legitimate interest and legal obligations);
• to send service emails such as sign-in codes and important account notices (contract). We send marketing messages only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time.

3.What other Users can see

Your display name (or company name for dealers), verified status, account type and your active listings are public. Your email address is never shown to other Users. Messages are visible only to the two participants of the conversation, and to our team when needed to handle a report.

4.Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us operate the Service, under contract and for that purpose only:

• Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), servers located in Mumbai, India;
• Vercel (website hosting);
• RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play and our web payment provider (subscriptions and payments);
• our email delivery provider (sign-in codes and service emails).

Some providers process data outside your country. When that happens we rely on the safeguards required by applicable law. We never sell your personal data.

5.How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, your profile, listings, photos, favorites and messages are erased from our live systems immediately and from backups within 30 days. We may keep limited purchase records for as long as tax and accounting laws require.

6.Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict some processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Most of this can be done directly in your account. You can delete your account in the app or on the website (see Delete account). For any other request, contact hello@motortrade.ae. You may also lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office or the authority of your country.

7.Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to each record is restricted by database security rules, and sign-in uses one-time codes instead of passwords. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep access to your email account safe.

8.Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9.Tracking

The website uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember your language. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers. The apps do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

10.Changes and contact
