Community Guidelines
Last updated: 28 September 2026
MotorTrade works because buyers can trust what they see. These rules apply to every listing and every message.
1.Allowed
- Any road, water, air or leisure vehicle you own or are authorised to sell: cars, motorcycles, bicycles, scooters, boats, jet skis, ATVs and buggies, trucks, vans and buses, caravans, heavy equipment and aircraft.
- Vehicles for parts, clearly marked with the condition For parts.
- Swap offers, with an honest description of what you would accept in exchange.
2.Not allowed
- Stolen vehicles, vehicles with falsified documents, altered chassis or VIN numbers, or vehicles that cannot be legally transferred.
- Rentals, leasing offers, services, spare parts sold on their own, number plates and phone numbers.
- Stock photos, photos of another vehicle, misleading prices (for example 1 AED) or hidden fees.
- The same vehicle published several times, or listings created to advertise another website.
- Weapons, military equipment and anything whose sale is illegal in the country of the listing.
3.Messages
- Be respectful. Harassment, threats, discrimination and spam lead to immediate suspension.
- Never ask for or send a deposit before the vehicle and its documents have been seen in person.
- Do not share links to external payment pages or ask other Users for codes, passwords or card details.
4.Safe swaps and sales
- Meet in a busy public place during the day, ideally at a testing or registration centre.
- Check the registration card, the owner's ID and the vehicle history with the traffic authority of the country.
- For swaps, agree on any price difference in writing and transfer both vehicles officially on the same day.
5.Reporting
Use the Report button on any listing or conversation. Our team reviews every report and may remove content or close accounts without notice.
